“Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run, there’s still time to change the road you’re on.”
– Led Zeppelin, Stairway to Heaven
The fact that you’re reading this post at this very moment is a result of every choice that you have ever made in your life.
Kind of crazy when you think about it, but what if you had zigged instead of zagged?
You probably wouldn’t be reading this post right now!
Who did you sit next to on your very first day of your very first class in high school?
Would your life be any different today if you had sat in any other spot?
Of course it would — everything that came after that moment would have been different, and you’ll never know who or what might have influenced your life and what your life would be like today.
Your Choices Might Have The Butterfly Effect!
You know of “the butterfly effect,” where a seemingly insignificant action in one place (a butterfly in central Africa flaps its wings) triggers a series of events that over time manifests as a significant action in another place (Hurricane Sandy devastates New York and New Jersey).
Now, I don’t really know if a butterfly’s wing flap could actually create circumstances that result in a deadly hurricane, but I do know that the choice of a thought or an action can lead to a series of events and circumstances that have significant impact on the future — think of any time travel story or movie.
This 4-minute “Profound Choices” slideshow by Patrick M. Powers is refreshing.

Remember, “there’s still time to change the road you’re on.”
